LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Lingzhi Chen, 44, of New York City, was charged with petty theft. Chen was stopped by Walmart asset protection at 4:02 p.m. Wednesday for alleged shoplifting. Chen was reportedly observed taking items and then passing all the outlets. Chen was processed and released with a ticket to appear later in Busti Town Court.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF
— HANOVER — About 11 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office responded to a complaint about a road-traffic vehicle on Routes 5 and 20. The vehicle was located and, after detecting a lane change violation, the vehicle was stopped.
The operator was identified as Rachael Stedman, 29, of Silver Creek. After investigation, it was determined that Stedman was driving under the influence of alcohol. She was additionally charged with DWI with a blood alcohol level above 0.08 and unsafe lane changes. She was transported to the Hanover substation and later released. She will appear in court later.
—KENNEDY—Saturday around 12:45 PM, delegates responded to an altercation. It is alleged that Johnathan Sipes, 30, had a physical conflict with another party at the location. Sipes was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child. He was then transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
